Brighton High School’s Total Registration page can be found here (this will open a new webpage).

Brighton High School currently offers 22 AP classes for students to receive college credit with a passing score of 3 or higher. These tests can save a student thousands of dollars and prepare them for future college success. Please speak to your student’s counselor to see what classes are available.

On the first day of school, students will be prompted by their teacher to login to MyAP (this opens to a new website) to register for their sections and receive a join code. The disclosure statement has step-by-step directions.  This is required for students to order their exam(s) in May.

Students and Parents will need to go through Total Registration to pay for their tests before Halloween. All tests are $103 and must be paid before Halloween. Failure to pay by Halloween will result in increasing late fees.

If students have not paid by Nov 14, they will have a $42 late fee per test for all Full Year Classes. Second Semester classes have until March 13 to pay in full for their exams. All exams not paid in full by March 13 will be canceled with no refunds given.

Reduced test fees can be given to those who qualify under Fee Waivers, Free or Reduced Lunch or special consideration to those need assistance and is conditional upon meeting with the assigned assistant principal.

Please click here for the AP disclosure statement (this opens to a new webpage).

If a student elects to do self-study for an AP exam, they must contact the AP Testing Coordinator Erin Kaufman for the join code to order the test.

If your student is on a 504, IHP or other accommodation through the district, accommodations need to be filed to the College Board, subject to approval. Accommodations are not automatically granted and paperwork for requests need to be submitted in writing to Erin Kaufman by December 19th.

The most important update for all students to know for this year: AP has moved to a new digital format for many of their tests. All Social Studies/English have moved to a digital test-taking format. All Science/Math courses have been moved to a hybrid test model of a Digital Multiple Choice section and a Paper-Free Response Section. Accommodations must be given for paper-based testing.
