Brighton High School Attendance Policy 2025–2026

Here are some bullet-points of information about the new attendance policy (linked above):

1. A degree mark will appear by a student’s grade in Skyward when they have 7 or more tardies, way late tardies, verified truancies, or unexcused absences.
2. A student is responsible for making up attendance with their classroom teacher.  Make-up can be done during APP.
3. Excusing any partial day/single period absences must be done that day.  Call the Attendance Office by 3 PM or send a message through Parent Square by midnight.
4. Tardies cannot be excused.
5. Excusal of a full day absence must be done within 4 days of the absence.
