ASPIRE Testing will be held for all 9th and 10th grade students on Tuesday, March 31st.
The ASPIRE Test has several benefits to Brighton students:
- It helps students gauge their readiness for the ACT and identifies areas for improvement.
- Each student receives a score report that predicts their ACT score in various categories, aiding in understanding their progress towards college readiness.
- Student participation assists us in evaluating whether our school is meeting state benchmarks, allowing us to enhance and refine our academic programs
We will be on a special bell schedule that day for testing. 11th and 12th grade students will not attend during ASPIRE Testing. Any student who needs extra support from teachers may come from 12:30 p.m. – 2:25 p.m. during our consultation time.
Should you wish for your child to opt-out of this assessment, please note that opt-out forms must be completed in person at the Brighton Main Office. Unfortunately, we are unable to process opt-out requests over the phone or via email. Forms must be submitted 24 hours prior to the commencement of testing to facilitate our testing organization and planning.
Students will not be admitted to exam rooms if they arrive after the start of the test. Students can start on the next section if they arrive after a testing section has started.
I.E. John Jones is late to the Reading Test. He can wait in the Counseling Center until 9:10 AM and then go to his assigned classroom and take the Science and Math sections. He will be called out of class to take a makeup Reading test.
