I'm proud, grateful, and fired up to be coming home as the Boys Head Wrestling Coach. This program and this community played a huge role in shaping who I am, and now I get the opportunity to pour everything I have back into it.
I believe in doing things the right way — in the classroom, on the mat, and in life. I graduated from Brighton High and went on to earn my bachelor's degree in biology from UVU. I'm continuing my path in education because being a coach is about more than wins and losses—it's about developing student-athletes into strong, capable individuals.
On the mat, I understand the standard. As a Brighton wrestler, I went 155-24, was a 2x State Champion, 3x State Finalist, earned All-American honors, and was later inducted into the Brighton Hall of Fame. I competed at the collegiate level and have spent the past 6+ years coaching and building athletes the right way.
At Mountain Ridge, I've helped develop 6 state champions, 46 state placers, and a region championship team — all while building a culture centered on structure, accountability, and consistent growth. From youth wrestling to the high school level, my focus has always been on developing not just better athletes, but tougher, more disciplined, and respectful young men.
I've also worked to be the best in every area of the sport — earning Utah USA Wrestling Official of the Year, reaching a top national officiating ranking, and working some of the biggest stages in the country. After high school, I also had the opportunity to serve a mission in Lima, Peru, which shaped my perspective on leadership and service.
I know what Brighton stands for. I know the tradition, the pride, and the standard that comes with it — and I'm here to raise it even higher. - Brayden Stevens
