PSAT information
There is still time to register for the PSAT! This is a great tool to strengthen college readiness and gain experience preparing for other standardized tests like the ACT or SAT.
Date: October 11 or October 25
Cost: $25
Sign Up at the Main Office Windows by paying the fee and choosing your test date
Final date to register: Friday, September 29th at 2:00 pm
This is a digital test, taken on the student’s Chromebook. We will call students to the Library on October 5th to confirm student computers are configured for this test.
On test day, students will come at 7 AM with their Chromebook, student ID or other picture ID, an approved calculator (a built in test calculator is available), pens and pencils.
The timing for this test is individual. Some students may finish early and return to their classes. All PSAT students will be excused from their morning classes.

Lockdown drill
We will be holding a Lockdown drill on Thursday during our APP class. In the event of an inside threat, teachers have been instructed to RUN, HIDE, FIGHT. During the drill, your students will not leave the building. They will be watching a school district produced video describing the RUN, HIDE, FIGHT scenario.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are next week on Wednesday, October 4th.
A parent square is scheduled for 3pm on Monday, September 25th, with more information about making Conference appointments with teachers.
Girls Region Tennis Results
Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team at their region tournament last week.
1st Singles: Avery Olsen – 1st place
2nd Singles: Sadie Maxfield – 4th place
3rd Singles: Grace Jaggi – lost first round and won both rounds in the back draw
1st Doubles: Cate Cook & Naomi Smith – lost first round and won both rounds in the back draw
2nd Doubles: Sara Spangler & Victoria Jensen – 3rd place
Team took 4th place overall!

Questions about your CTEC student schedules and Parent Teacher Conferences?
Brighton CTEC students will have modified schedules several times over the next two weeks due to Parent Teacher Conferences and the Brighton Trimester.
- Thursday, September 28th will be an Early Out (Friday Schedule) for CTEC. Brighton is on a regular schedule this day.
- Friday, September 29th is a non-school day for CTEC. Brighton has classes on this day.
- Thursday, October 5th is Brighton’s Early out (Friday Schedule). CTEC is on a regular schedule and the busses will run on the same schedule.
- Friday, October 6th is a compensatory day for Brighton, but CTEC classes and the CTEC bus will run on a normal schedule.
The attendance office at both Brighton and CTEC is aware of the schedules, and we will work with students. Please reach out with any questions.
