Tuesday, May 24th

 Modified Bell Schedule (9th, 10th & 11th Grade Students):

1st Period                                         7:35 – 8:15

2nd Period                                        8:21 – 9:01

3rd Period                                        9:07 – 9:47

4th Period                                        9:53 – 10:33

5th Period                                        10:40 – 11:20 (Yearbook Distribution)

Yearbook Day                              11:30 – 2:00       (Bengal Plaza & Football Stadium)

·       Students will remain in class for the duration of each period.

·       Lunch will be served by the cafeteria at 11:20am.

·       For Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen, yearbooks will be delivered to 5th period teachers for distribution in class. Teachers will be given a list of students who bought yearbooks and have paid all fees. Students must sign for their yearbook. (Seniors will pick up their yearbooks in the Aux/Small Gym after graduation practice.)

 

·       Students who are not on the list but believe they have purchased a yearbook or students who do not have a 5th period class need to report to the attendance office AFTER the bell rings at 11:20am. 

 Students who have purchased a yearbook, but have not paid all of their fees can pick up their yearbook in the Main Office once their fees have been paid. 

·       Students who have not purchased yearbooks may do so in the Aux/Small Gym beginning at 11:30am. 

·       Schedule for 12th Grade Students:

·       One lunch will be served at 11:20am.

·       Following lunch, those students in attendance will go the auditorium for an alternate activity from 12:30pm – 2:25pm. 

·       Graduation is at 2:00pm at the Maverik Center. Students and families should arrive early to take pictures. Gowns will be turned in immediately after the graduation ceremony in return for the student’s official diploma. 

 

Thursday, May 26th

·       Last Day of School!

 

·       No lunch will be served by the cafeteria.

 
  • Bengal Bash Graduation Party – For Brighton High School Seniors – Wednesday, May 25th from 10:30pm – 3am. The ticket cost for the night’s entertainment, prizes, food, and fun, is only $35 before May 23rd  and $45 at the door.  Tickets can be purchased online (click on “Tickets”). We encourage and appreciate early ticket purchases so we can plan accordingly.
  • We are still in need of more parents to assist that evening, manning the various activities, food, roaming, set-up and clean-upBengal Bash Volunteer SignUpGenius  to sign-up and help.  If you have any questions, please email the Bengal Bash Committee and Event Chair at brightonbengalbash@gmail.com.
  • Runes Literary Magazines have arrived. Please pay $5.00 in the main office. and then take your receipt to Mr. Meyer in RM: 3307 to receive your copy
  • If your student (14 yrs. and older) needs a great summer job, why not be a school sweeper? Great pay! Great hours! Monday through Thursday 8:30am – 1:30pm with a 30 minute break for lunch. Email: sara.cook@canyonsdistrict.org for more information.

 
  • Just a reminder that all financial transactions are handled by the Main Office. Please don’t try to make payments in the Registrar’s Office, Counseling Center or Attendance Office.

  • Check out Brightonbengals.net to get tickets for our school events such as the girls and boys basketball games and school dances. From the website, you can also watch live feeds of our home games.
  • If your student is struggling with depression, suicide ideation, or other social emotional concerns, our Counseling Center website has resources for you. Follow this link and click on the Social/Emotional tab: https://www.bhscounseling.org
  • Sweepers Needed – Monday through Friday for 2 hours after school each day. This is a perfect job for your student. Email sara.cook@canyonsdistrict.org for more information.
  • We will not be taking any delivery services for students in the main office or attendance office. This includes: food delivery services, flowers, balloons, etc. If a delivery service comes to the office for a student order, they will be turned away. Parents/guardians may still drop off items such as lunches, books, or schoolwork for students; however, students will not be called down until the next passing time. If the item will cause a disruption to class, it will be held in the office until the end of the school day and your student may pick it up then. Thanks for your cooperation.
  • It’s never too early to start thinking about college and applying for scholarships!
