Arena Scheduling for 3rd trimester opens Monday, February 13 at 3:00 p.m. and closes on Thursday, February 16 at 3:00 p.m. During this time, students can use Skyward to make changes to their 3rd trimester schedules.
Course Selection for the 2023-2024 school year opens TODAY at 3:00 p.m. It closes on February 17. Students must log in to Skyward to enter the classes they would like to take for the 2023-2024 school year by Friday, February 17. Students should select fifteen total classes, which will add up to 7.5 credits or 6.5 for students taking LDS seminary. Please remember to sign up for A,B, and/or C parts of classes as needed. Registration for the Brighton Summer Driver Ed Class will open on February 1st, 2023! Information about driver ed and the summer course can be found at: https://bhs.canyonsdistrict.org/announcements/driver-education/ (Click on the Summer Driver Education tab for summer driver ed info) Brighton students with birthdays after 11/30/07 cannot take summer driver ed. However, they can take it during 1st trimester or ROAR class starting in August 2023 and still be done before their 16th birthday.

Brighton Varsity hockey teams won their playoff games. Navy, a contender to win state, beat Skyline 8-1 in their second win of playoffs and will be playing in the semi-finals Monday, Feb. 13th at 7:15 pm at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex. They will be playing the top Park City team, currently the team to beat. Last year they took 2nd place in state to the PC team.

Girls soccer will be holding our spring informational meeting Wednesday March 8th 2023 @ 7:00 pm in the twin peaks conference room

Baseball is currently holding open workouts for anyone interested at 5:45am-7:00am in the field house, M-F. For more information or other questions, you can email the coach at mark.kleven@canyonsdistrict.org. There will be a baseball parent meeting on February 15th, 2023, in the Twin Peaks Room (located above the library) at 5:15pm-6:00pm, to discuss all things pertaining to the upcoming season. Baseball tryouts will take place on February 27, 2023, at the baseball field at 2:45pm. Anyone interested in trying out must be registered on RegisterMyAthlete.com prior to tryouts. Players must wear athletic attire and provide their own gear. In case of inclement weather, tryouts will be held inside the field house, date and time TBD. If needed, changes will be posted here.

All spring sports tryouts are starting on Feb. 27th. See www.brightonbengals.org for information about specific sports.

Please remember that the Bus Zones are for buses only. Private cars need to drop off and pick-up by the main school doors. Please let’s keep all of our students safe.

Keys to Success is offering 2 scholarships to Brighton seniors this year! We have a $1000 scholarship to Southern Utah University and a $1000 scholarship to Salt Lake Community College. You apply on the Keys to Success app or at KTSUtah.com. You will need to create a Keys to Success account to apply. The application deadline is March 3, 2023. These scholarships are specifically for Brighton seniors so apply today! If you have any questions, please come to the CTE office in rooms 1518 and 1520.

Brighton is hiring one classroom para-educator position. It is a great opportunity to get to know the wonderful students, faculty and staff. One position receives benefits and is 35 hours per week. The other position is 27 hours per week. Please apply on the Canyons District website under the Human Resources tab.

If your Junior signed up for ACT classes please remember to put the dates on your calendar:
- Math – February 6 and February 8, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
- English – February 13 and February 15, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
All juniors will be taking the ACT at Brighton on Tuesday, March 7. No registration or fee is required. Students must bring their Chromebook, picture ID and a calculator.

Attention all sprinters and distance runners! Pre-season track practice begins January 2023! Meet at 2:45 every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday near the indoor track in the B building.

Would you love to be a part of the Brighton High Staff? Our cafeteria is hiring three cashier positions! One position is 5 ½ hours per day, M-F and pays $16.56 per hour. The other two positions are two hours per day, M-F and pay $14.06 hour. Working in the cafeteria is a fun way to be involved at Brighton and meet new people!.

SheTech EXPLORER DAY for 9 – 12 Grade Women!
