  • On April 4th Cottonwood Heights City will begin more extensive construction on the roundabout in front of Brighton. The church parking lot northeast of the school will be used for construction purposes, so any students parking in that lot will be towed. Please encourage your students to park at the skatepark. Also, due to the ongoing construction at Brighton, we will not be able to sell parking passes to sophomores and we will continue to ticket them if they are found parked on campus.
  • There will be a Volleyball parent meeting for all returning and incoming athletes and parents! On Wednesday, April 20th at 6:00pm. If your athlete plans on trying out for the 2022 season, this is a great opportunity for more information about summer open gyms, summer clinics, season participation fees, parent committee, fundraising, and tryout dates! The meeting will be held on the 2nd floor of Brighton High School in the Twin Peaks Conference room. Any questions, please email brighton.vb@yahoo.com
  • Brighton High School Teacher Appreciation Week is April 25th – 29th.  This year, the PTSA chose to reflect on the construction of the new school with a theme of “Thank You Teachers!  You BUILD a Better Brighton!”  We have several events throughout the week where we would love help from parents to show the teachers and staff at Brighton how much we appreciate their hard work.  Please check out this link if you are able to contribute a food item:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0C48ABAE22A5F49-bhsteacher2 There are some other ways you and/or your student can show appreciation to their teachers.  We will have a poster each teacher can place in their classroom that lists some of their “favorite things.” You or your student are welcome to pick up a favorite snack, soda, etc., for teachers.  And don’t forget, one of the most appreciated things a teacher can receive is a nice personal note from a parent or a student.  Thank you for helping to make the week of April 25th a great week for Brighton’s teachers and staff.
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 3:00pm to 8:30pm. There will be a break from 5:00pm-6:00pm for employees to eat dinner. If you prefer to walk-in and meet with the teacher or support staff, you may contact the them directly and set up an appointment. Also, there will not be school on Friday, April 22. • We need substitute teachers! According to Sally Sansom, CSD Human Resource Administrator, in just the first few weeks of the school year, CSD is receiving more than 100 requests a day for substitutes.
